Why retreat?
In all ancient cultures, contemplative and meditative practices were incorporated into daily life. Most of us today are removed from these rhythms and live busy lives full of external activity, and, perhaps stress.
The joy of a retreat is the rejuvenative process of re-connecting with yourself and your world on a deeper level. The time you spend looking within allows you to come back to your daily life with a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of purpose.
Besides daily yoga and meditation practice, on retreat you can:
- Spend time in nature;
- Learn about a new culture;
- Eat delicious, fresh and nutritious food;
- Take quality time for yourself (read, paint, write, swim, walk);
- Connect with people who have similar interests to you.
The Golden Week yoga retreat was a fantastic experience filled with yoga, meditation, fun on the beach, relaxation, sumptious meals, gorgeous sunsets and excellent company.
